TOEFL iBT 2026 sınav tarihlerini kontrol etme, kayıt sürecini planlama, 21 Ocak 2026 itibarıyla güncellenen sınav ve puanlama özelliklerini anlama ve sınav günü için hazırlanma rehberi.
TOEFL iBT focuses on reading, listening, speaking and writing for university-level communication. A “good TOEFL score” is not a universal number; it is defined by the overall and section requirements of the receiving institution.
Reading and Listening are adaptive in the 2026 format, so item counts and timing may vary slightly by form. Do not try to infer the algorithm or change strategy based on perceived difficulty; solve each item from its evidence.
Complete the Words measures contextual and morphological awareness, not isolated memorisation. Read in Daily Life focuses on purpose, audience and required action in short functional texts.
Current tasks range from short campus language to academic talks. Note-taking should change by task: intention and appropriate response for short items, structure and example relationships for academic input.
Listen and Repeat rewards meaningful chunking, intelligible pronunciation and preservation of the sentence. If one word is missed, continue the rest clearly rather than stopping the entire response.
Build a Sentence measures word order, clause structure and meaning under time pressure. Establish the main subject-verb relationship first, then place subordinate clauses and modifiers.
Section and overall scores use the 1–6 scale in half-point increments. The overall score is the average of the four sections rounded to the nearest half band. ETS also reports a comparable 0–120 overall figure during the transition.
